Ministry

Kim Leon began her service to CAOAM on July 1, 2020. Originally from Memphis, TN, she moved to Columbia, MO in 1990 to attend the University of Missouri. Kim graduated from the University of Missouri 

in 1987. On June 7, 1987 she was ordained a minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Mexico, MO.


After serving pastorates in Missouri, Kentucky and Iowa she moved back to Missouri in 1999 and became the first full-time chaplain at NBA Lenoir Retirement Community. In 2005 she became the chaplain of Columbia Area Older Adult Ministry. She continues to serve in long-term care and retirement communities in Columbia

In the community Sally is a member of Senior Network and the Columbia Kiwanis Club.  She serves on the Meals on Wheels Board of Directors and also a Volunteer Driver on Mondays.  


In her spare time she enjoys reading mysteries, biographies, and novels.  She enjoys classical and jazz music, often attending concerts in Columbia.  She is a season ticket holder to the Lyceum Theatre in Arrow Rock, MO where the little community comes alive in the summer with professional and local actors. 


 



 



with a B.A. in Art History in 1994. She then earned her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.  


Kim returned to Columbia in 2001 and has served individuals and families in the community in a variety of roles with University of Missouri Extension, Job Point, and Parents as Teachers. Kim discovered her passion for working with older adults through her work as Director of Lifestyle Enrichment at Lenoir Woods Healthcare and Activity Director at Colony Pointe Assisted Living. 
In January 2019 Kim entered the Master of Divinity program at Phillips Theological Seminary, where she is currently a student.

Kim is seeking ordination in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She currently serves as Elder, Administrative Board Member, and Chair of the Worship Department at First Christian Church (DOC), Columbia, MO where she has been a member since 2010. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, travel, crossword puzzles, and knitting.


Rev. Sally Robinson was  born and raised in Mexico, MO. She received a B.A. in Religion/Philosophy from Culver-Stockton College, Canton, MO in 1984 and a Master of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary, Lexington, KY
